EA-ELR 10750-06 2U Programmable Electronic DC Load (1500W, 0-750V, 0-6A)
The EA-ELR 10750-06 2U, developed by EA Elektro-Automatik and part of the ELR 10000 2U series, is a programmable electronic DC load with energy recovery. It’s designed for testing DC power supplies, batteries, and solar modules, featuring a 1500W rated power (derated to 1200W at 110-127V AC input), 0-750V adjustable DC voltage, 0-6A variable current, and 4Ω-6000Ω resistance range.
Its energy recovery function achieves up to 95% efficiency (at 100% power/input voltage), inverting consumed DC energy to feed back into the local grid, reducing energy waste. For cooling, it uses temperature-controlled forced air flow (front inlet, rear outlet) with auto-adjusted fan speed to balance heat dissipation and noise.
The load supports remote sensing (max. ≤5% nominal voltage compensation) for accurate voltage regulation, and operates in four modes: Constant Voltage (CV), Constant Current (CC), Constant Power (CP), and Constant Resistance (CR)—all with high precision (e.g., CV load regulation ≤0.05% FS, CC load regulation ≤0.1% FS).
It includes a built-in function generator for dynamic load testing (sine/triangular/rectangular waves, DIN 40839, battery test, MPP tracking, etc.). For remote control, it has galvanically isolated USB/Ethernet/analog interfaces, and supports SCPI/ModBus RTU protocols (automatic detection). Optional IF-AB modules (CANopen, ProfiNet, etc.) expand connectivity.
Scalability is enabled via parallel master-slave operation (up to 64 units, max. 192kW total power) using Master-Slave (RS485, RJ45) and Share (BNC) buses. Safety protections include OVP (0-110% nominal voltage), OCP (0-110% nominal current), OPP (0-110% nominal power), OT, and PF. It’s 2U 19" rack-mountable, operating at 0°C-50°C ambient temperature.
