EA-BT 20060-1000 4U Regenerative Battery Tester
The EA-BT 20060-1000 4U is a high-performance two quadrant battery tester and bidirectional battery tester from the EA-BT 20000 series by EA Elektro-Automatik, designed as a 4U rack mount battery tester and 19 inch rack battery tester for industrial battery testing applications. It integrates both battery charge tester and battery discharge tester functions, operating as a grid energy recovery battery tester that feeds discharge energy back into the grid with up to 94.5% efficiency, reducing energy costs and heat generation, making it an energy saving battery tester and low heat generation battery tester. It also serves as a programmable dc power supply and programmable dc power source for flexible industrial power applications. This 30kW regenerative battery tester features a wide 3-phase AC input range of 208 V ±10% and 380-480 V ±10%, supporting 45-65Hz frequency, with active power factor correction achieving a typical 0.99 power factor and <10mA leakage current, compatible with most global power grids. When operating on 208 V ±10% AC, it automatically derates to 18kW DC output power. Its DC output delivers 0-60 V DC voltage, 0-1000 A current and 0-30000 W power range (0-18000 W at 208V), with a 0.65V minimum sink voltage for full current output even at low battery voltages. It offers ultra-low output ripple with ≤25 mV rms (300 kHz bandwidth) and ≤320 mV pp (20 MHz bandwidth), paired with 25380 μF output capacitance for stable power delivery. The device employs digital regulation with 16 bit ADCs and DACs, providing ≤0.05% FS voltage measurement accuracy and ≤0.1% FS current measurement accuracy, supporting CV, CC, CP, CR regulation modes with fast crossover for precise battery testing. It delivers fast dynamic response with CV rise/fall time ≤10 ms and CC rise/fall time ≤2 ms, meeting the demands of dynamic battery testing scenarios. It features ±600 V DC negative pole to PE insulation and +600 V DC positive pole to PE insulation, with 3750 Vrms insulation between AC input and DC terminals. All communication interfaces are galvanically isolated, including USB, 1Gbit/s Ethernet, EtherCAT with 1 ms communication speed, CAN FD, and a front USB host for data acquisition, plus 3 configurable digital inputs, 3 relay outputs and 3 temperature sensor inputs. It supports scalable parallel operation via galvanically isolated Share-Bus and Master-Auxiliary bus, allowing up to 64 units of the same series to be connected for high-power test systems with symmetrical load sharing, delivering up to 1920 kW total power. Integrated battery test functions include CC-CV discharge characteristics, ampere hour counter, dedicated battery test mode and battery simulation, making it suitable as a battery cell tester, battery module tester, battery pack tester, battery state of health tester and end of line battery tester. It is widely applied in electro mobility battery testing and battery recycling tester applications. The standard version uses temperature-controlled forced air cooling, with dimensions of 483 mm (W) x 177 mm (H) x 668 mm (D) and a weight of 50 kg; optional stainless steel water cooling is available, increasing the weight to 56 kg. It has an IP20 ingress protection rating, operates in 0-50 °C ambient temperature (rated power is permanently available up to approximately +40 °C), and includes comprehensive protective functions: adjustable OVP (0-110% nominal voltage), OCP (0-110% nominal current), OPP (0-110% nominal power) and overtemperature protection. It complies with EN 61010-1, IEC 61010-1, UL 61010-1 safety standards and EN 55011 Class A EMC requirements.
