    Product Description

    EA-BT 20010-1000 4U Regenerative Battery Tester

The EA-BT 20010-1000 4U is a high-performance two quadrant battery tester from the BT 20000 series by EA Elektro-Automatik, designed as a 4U rack mount battery tester for industrial battery testing applications. As a bidirectional battery tester, it integrates both battery charge tester and battery discharge tester functions, and operates as a grid energy recovery battery tester with regenerative energy recovery into the grid during discharge mode, delivering up to 93.5% efficiency for this model (up to 96% across the BT 20000 series). This 19 inch rack battery tester features a wide range 3-phase AC input of 208 V - 480 V ±10%, supporting 45-65Hz frequency, with active power factor correction achieving a typical 0.99 power factor and <10mA leakage current, making it compatible with most global power grids. Its DC output ranges from 0 to 10 V with a maximum current of 1000 A and a power range of 0 to 10000 W, equipped with flexible autoranging DC output stages for wide operating flexibility. The device adopts digital regulation with 16 bit ADCs and DACs, providing ≤0.05% FS voltage measurement accuracy, ≤0.1% FS current measurement accuracy, and multiple regulation modes including CV, CC, CP, CR with fast crossover. It offers excellent dynamic performance with CV rise/fall time ≤10 ms and CC rise/fall time ≤2 ms. For connectivity, it comes with built-in galvanically isolated interfaces including USB, 1Gbit/s Ethernet, EtherCAT (with 1ms communication speed), CAN FD, and a front USB host for data acquisition, along with 3 digital inputs, 3 relay outputs and 3 temperature sensor inputs. It supports parallel operation via galvanically isolated Share-Bus and Master-Auxiliary bus, allowing up to 64 units of the same series to be connected for higher power requirements. Integrated battery test functions include CC-CV discharge characteristics, ampere hour counter, dedicated battery test mode and battery simulation, making it suitable as a battery cell tester, battery module tester and battery pack tester. It is widely used in electro mobility battery testing, battery state of health (SOH) testing for second-life classification, end of line (EOL) battery testing and battery recycling testing. The device has an IP20 ingress protection rating, operates in 0 - 50 °C ambient temperature (rated power is permanently available up to approximately +40 °C), with dimensions of 483 mm (W) x 177 mm (H) x 668 mm (D) and a weight of 50 kg, and optional stainless steel water cooling is available. It is equipped with comprehensive protective functions including adjustable OVP (0-110% nominal voltage), OCP (0-110% nominal current), OPP (0-110% nominal power) and overtemperature protection, and complies with EN 61010-1, IEC 61010-1, UL 61010-1 and other safety standards, as well as EN 55011 Class A EMC requirements.
