The EA-PSB 11000-40 3U belongs to the PSB 10000 series of programmable bidirectional DC power supplies, combining the functionality of a DC power source and an electronic load in a single 3U 19-inch rack-mountable unit. With energy recovery efficiency up to 95.5%, it feeds back consumed DC energy to the local grid when operating as a load, making it ideal for sustainable test systems. This model delivers an output voltage from 0 to 1000 V, current from 0 to 40 A, and power from 0 to 10 kW (full power at 380–480 V three-phase AC input; derated to 6 kW at 208 V). It features precise regulation with load regulation CV ≤0.05% FS and low ripple ≤200 mV rms, ensuring stable and clean power for sensitive applications. The integrated function generator supports sine, triangle, rectangle, arbitrary waveforms, and specialized profiles like DIN 40839 for automotive engine start simulation, PV simulation per EN 50530, battery charge/discharge tests, MPP tracking, and fuel cell simulation. Protection features include adjustable OVP, OCP, OPP, and overtemperature shutdown. Built-in USB, Ethernet, and galvanically isolated analog interface enable flexible remote control, with optional plug-in modules for CAN, CANopen, RS232, Profibus, Profinet, ModBus TCP, or EtherCAT. Up to 64 units can be paralleled in master-slave configuration for higher power systems.
