EA-PSI 10500-60 3U 10000W Programmable DC Power Supply
The EA-PSI 10500-60 3U is a high-performance programmable DC power supply from the EA-PSI 10000 series, delivering 10kW of output power in a compact 3U form factor. It provides a variable output voltage from 0 to 500V and output current from 0 to 60A (derated to 6000W when operated at 208V AC input). Achieving up to 95.5% efficiency at full load, this power supply minimizes energy loss and heat dissipation. It features ultra-low ripple characteristics—≤70mV RMS and ≤350mV P-P (20 MHz bandwidth)—ensuring stable, noise-free power for sensitive applications. The unit includes an adjustable internal resistance range of 0.3 Ω to 500 Ω and an output capacitance of 360 µF, making it ideal for simulating real-world battery and fuel cell behavior.
Equipped with advanced digital control, the EA-PSI 10500-60 3U integrates a powerful function generator capable of producing sine, triangle, rectangle, trapezoid, ramp, and arbitrary waveforms, as well as photovoltaic (PV) curve simulation according to EN 50530 and fuel cell (FC) curve simulation. This built-in capability eliminates the need for external signal generators, simplifying test setups for applications such as battery charger testing, on-board charger evaluation, and automated test systems. Remote sensing compensates for voltage drops in load leads, ensuring precise voltage regulation at the load point.
The power supply offers versatile control options: manual operation via the intuitive 5" color TFT touchscreen with two rotary knobs, and remote control through built-in USB, Ethernet, and a galvanically isolated analog interface. Optional plug-in modules add support for fieldbus protocols like Profibus, Profinet, ModBus TCP, CANopen, and EtherCAT, enabling seamless integration into industrial automation networks. For higher power requirements, up to 64 units can be connected in master-slave parallel operation, sharing the load equally via the Share BUS and digital master-slave bus, achieving total system power up to 960 kW.
Safety and reliability are ensured with comprehensive protection features including overvoltage (OVP), overcurrent (OCP), overpower (OPP), overtemperature (OT), and power fail (PF) alarms. The unit also supports user-defined events (UVD, OVD, UCD, OCD, OPD) for custom monitoring. The DC output is fully floating, allowing either pole to be grounded, with insulation ratings of ±1500 V DC for the negative pole and +2000 V DC for the positive pole against PE.
