Product Description
EA-PSBE 10750-40 3U Programmable Bidirectional DC Power Supply
The EA-PSBE 10750-40 3U is a high-performance programmable bidirectional DC power supply from the PSBE 10000 series by EA Elektro-Automatik. It functions as a two-quadrant device, combining the capabilities of a power supply and a regenerative electronic load, with energy recovery back to the AC grid at up to 95.5% efficiency. Housed in a 3U form factor, this unit delivers an output voltage from 0 to 750V, current from 0 to 40A, and power up to 10kW, featuring autoranging technology for maximum flexibility across a wide voltage-current envelope.
The AC input accepts three-phase 208V to 480V (±10%) at 45-66Hz with active Power Factor Correction (typical 0.99), ensuring low harmonic distortion. The DC output provides precise regulation with load regulation ≤0.05% FS in CV mode, ≤0.1% FS in CC mode, and ≤0.3% FS in CP mode. Display accuracy is ≤0.05% FS for voltage and ≤0.1% FS for current. Ripple and noise are ≤200mV rms (300kHz bandwidth) and ≤800mV p-p (20MHz bandwidth). Transient response times are ≤20ms for CV rise/fall (10-90%) and ≤10ms for CC rise/fall (10-90%). Built-in protections include adjustable OVP, OCP, OPP (0-110% of nominal) and overtemperature shutdown.
For control and monitoring, the unit is equipped with galvanically isolated interfaces: USB, Ethernet (100Mbit), USB Host for data logging, and a 15-pin D-Sub analog interface (0-5V/0-10V programmable for voltage, current, power, and resistance). Optional fieldbus interfaces such as CAN, CANopen, RS232, Profibus, EtherCAT, Profinet, and Modbus can be added via a plug-in slot. The integrated Master-Slave-Bus and Share-Bus enable parallel operation of up to 64 units of any power class in the PSBE 10000 series, allowing system power scaling up to 1920kW and currents up to 64000A, while maintaining single-unit behavior.
With its bidirectional energy flow, high accuracy, and regenerative capability, the EA-PSBE 10750-40 is ideally suited for demanding applications including battery cell/module/pack testing, battery simulation, fuel cell testing, on-board charger (OBC) testing, and battery recycling. The energy recovery feature significantly reduces energy costs and heat generation, making it a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution for automated test systems and laboratory use.
