EA-PSBE 10500-30 3U 5000W Programmable Bidirectional DC Power Supply
The EA-PSBE 10500-30 3U is a high-performance programmable bidirectional DC power supply from the EA-PSBE 10000 3U series by EA Elektro-Automatik. This 5kW regenerative model functions as both a DC power source and a sink (electronic load) in two-quadrant operation, seamlessly transitioning between supplying and absorbing power. With a voltage range of 0-500V and a current range of 0-30A, it delivers full power across a wide operating range thanks to its flexible autoranging DC output stage. In sink mode, the unit features regenerative energy recovery, feeding energy back into the grid with an efficiency of up to 95.5%, significantly reducing energy costs and heat generation compared to traditional loads. The device offers high precision with 16-bit digital control and multiple regulation modes including CV, CC, CP, and CR. It is equipped with a galvanically isolated analog interface (0-5V or 0-10V programmable) and built-in digital interfaces including USB and Ethernet. For system expansion, the Master-Slave bus allows for parallel operation of up to 64 units to achieve higher power and current levels, while the Share-Bus ensures equal load distribution. With a compact 3U form factor, high accuracy (voltage display accuracy ≤0.05% FS, current ≤0.1% FS), and comprehensive protective functions (OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP), the PSBE 10500-30 is ideally suited for demanding applications such as battery testing, battery simulation, fuel cell tests, on-board charger (OBC) testing, and battery recycling discharge processes.
