The EA-PS 12000-40 4U is a high-performance, programmable DC power supply from the PS 10000 4U Series, delivering a robust 30 kW of power for demanding industrial and test applications. Engineered for precision and flexibility, it serves as a versatile bench power supply, programmable power supply, and reliable DC power source for scenarios ranging from ultra-high-voltage testing and battery pack testing to general-purpose power delivery. The unit supports operation as both a variable voltage/current source and a variable current sink, making it ideal for simulating various load conditions.

It features a comprehensive set of operating modes including constant voltage (CV), constant current (CC), constant power (CP), and internal resistance (CR) regulation. Built-in protection mechanisms such as overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overpower protection (OPP), overtemperature protection (OT), and power fail (PF) monitoring ensure safe operation for both the unit and connected devices. A key strength is its scalability: it supports master-slave parallel operation for up to 64 units (via Share Bus and digital Master-Slave bus), enabling systems with total power up to 1920 kW. It also allows series connection of identical models for higher voltage requirements.

Remote control is facilitated through multiple interfaces, including a built-in galvanically isolated analog interface (0-5V/0-10V), USB, Ethernet, and optional plug-in digital interface modules (CANopen, Profibus, Profinet, ModBus TCP, EtherCAT, etc.). The front panel boasts a color TFT touchscreen (5", 800x480), two rotary knobs with push-button functionality, and a dedicated DC output On/Off button. Data logging to a USB stick (front port) is supported with configurable intervals from 500 ms to 5 seconds. The device complies with the SEMI F47 standard for ride-through during AC voltage sags and is available in both standard air-cooled and optional water-cooled (WC) versions.
