PSB 20080-170 Triple 80V 170A 15kW Programmable Bidirectional DC Power Supply
The EA Elektro-Automatik PSB 20080-170 Triple is a three-channel programmable bidirectional DC power supply that combines sourcing and sinking with regenerative energy recovery. Each of the three fully isolated channels delivers 0-80V and 0-170A, with a total device power of 0-15kW. Featuring autoranging technology, the output automatically maintains full power across a wide voltage and current range, offering greater flexibility than traditional power supplies. With up to 94.5% efficiency in both source and sink modes and energy recovery back to the grid up to 96%, this supply significantly reduces energy costs and heat dissipation. The device accepts a three-phase AC input from 208V to 480V (±10%) with active PFC (typical 0.99), ensuring global grid compatibility. Built-in high-speed control interfaces—including USB, 1 Gbit Ethernet, EtherCAT, CAN FD, Digital I/O, Share-Bus, and master-slave bus—enable 1 ms communication speed for seamless integration into automated test systems. The integrated function generator supports sine, triangle, square, trapezoidal, arbitrary waveforms, as well as PV panel simulation per DIN EN 50530 and fuel cell simulation. Multiple units can be paralleled via Share-Bus to create systems up to 120kW and 4080A. Housed in a compact 3U 19" enclosure (32.8 kg, 668 mm depth), the PSB 20080-170 Triple is ideal for testing motors, inverters, on-board chargers, and battery simulation in automotive, renewable energy, and industrial applications.
